The new face of MDM-TV.com is Eric Vandefifer. Jamie Kitts retired after a 40-year career at

Montrose Hill-McCloy High School in June. Mr. Kitts said,

“We could not have found a more deserving replacement. Eric is the perfect person to take over. He understands the standards we established for our kids, and he will uphold them.”

Eric graduated from Hill-McCloy in 2018, the same year he won the NFHS Network’s “National

Sports Broadcaster of the Year. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan

University in 2022 and is sure to strengthen MDM-TV.com’s relationship with them.

During his time at CMU, Eric didn’t wait his turn. He went to Saginaw Valley State University on

weeknights and weekends and joined their broadcasting team as a color analyst (eventually

play-by-play) for both football and the men’s and women’s basketball teams.

Upon graduation, Eric was hired by the Los Angeles Dodgers High-A team in Midland, the Great

Lakes Loons, as an on-field talent where he interacted with selected fans in games and gave

out various team awards. After the untimely death of Loons legendary Public Address

announcer, Jerry O’Donnel, Eric was promoted to the announcers' booth. He is still announcing

for the Loons today. He also recently completed two successful years of teaching and basketball

coaching at Merrill High School.Eric has done play-by-play duties for the Michigan High School Athletic Association for many of its high school state finals games for both TV and radio.

Education. Remington also had an outstanding cross-country career at Cedarville U. She is
